2:
How can I import references from EndNote?
|
Answer:
EndNote X1
To transfer your references between EndNote X1 and EndNote Web, open your library in X1 and click Tools > Endnote Web. Note that this method allows you to transfer only 500 records at a time.
EndNote X
With EndNote X.0.2, click Tools > Transfer References and follow the onscreen prompts.
If you do not have this option, you may need to update from X to X.0.2. The free update is available here.
Note that the transfer method allows you to transfer only 500 records at a time.
EndNote 9 or earlier, or to transfer more than 500 references, you can export references from EndNote to a format that can then be imported into EndNote Web. To do this:
- In EndNote, click on the style selection dropdown menu from the main EndNote toolbar.
- Click "Select Another Style".
- Browse to RefMan (RIS) Export and click "Choose".
- Click on the file menu and select "Export".
- Pick a name and location for the text file and click "Save".
- In EndNote Web, select the "Import" menu on the left.
- In the Import window, select the text file in field 1 by clicking on the Browse button.
In the dropdown for field 2, choose the Import filter called "RefMan (RIS)".
Click the Import button and your references will be imported into the Unfiled folder.
